ANTITRUST
Antitrust Policy
The Parcel & Freight Policy Council is committed to full compliance with all applicable antitrust and competition laws. The Council’s activities are intended to advance lawful industry advocacy, education, technical standards, and policy objectives, not to coordinate the competitive conduct of its members.
Because Council activities may bring competitors together, participants must not discuss, exchange information about, or reach agreements concerning:
- Current or future prices, rates, fees, surcharges, discounts, margins, costs, pricing policies, or other competitively sensitive commercial terms, including the terms of individually negotiated carrier or postal agreements;
- Allocation of customers, markets, territories, products, or services;
- Agreements to boycott, blacklist, or refuse to deal with particular customers, suppliers, vendors, carriers, or competitors;
- Current or future output, capacity, volumes, or other competitively sensitive business plans;
- Wages, compensation, hiring, recruiting, or other competitively sensitive employment terms; or
- Any other agreement or coordinated activity that could improperly restrict competition.
Each participant must make its business and competitive decisions independently.
If a discussion enters a potentially sensitive area, participants should object immediately and the discussion should stop. Questions concerning the application of this policy should be referred to legal counsel.
